Q. How do I sync my smartphone with the Bluetooth Speakerphone?

A. Each phone is packed with easy to follow Start Guide instructions.  The syncing process on your smartphone is the same for any Bluetooth device.  For further instructions, please see the video below for help.

Chargers

Q. My phone charger stopped working, what do I do?

A. Check the fuse on both the charger and your vehicle.

 

Q. Can I get a replacement fuse?

A. Fuses can be found at Radio Shack or online with vendors such as Amazon, Bussmann or Littelfuse.  Make sure to purchase one with the same specifications.  Custom Accessories cannot be held responsible if the wrong fuse is used and results in damage or injury.

Compass

Q. Why does the compass reads ‘backwards’?

A. The compass does not read like a hand held compass because it for a viewing in a vehicle.  When heading North, the N will face you behind the red lubber line. It is printed in ‘reverse’ and should be viewed while facing forward vs. viewing by the topside of the compass.

 

Q. Why is my compass not reading accurately?  The compass works outside the vehicle, but will not work in the vehicle.

A. Magnetic interference in a vehicle.  When choosing a location to mount the compass, you may be unable to calibrate totally as some vehicles have magnetic or electric type fields that interfere with the accuracy of the compass.  Be sure to mount as far away as possible from speakers or other electronic areas that may cause interference.

Deer Alerts

Q. Why does one of the deer whistles have a hole and the other doesn’t?

A. The Deer alerts are supposed to look this way, and are NOT DEFECTIVE. They operate at different speeds emitting different, hence there is a hole in only one of them.

 

Q. Where is the best place to mount the deer whistles?

A. The whistles should be as level as possible. But you can mount them anywhere they will get good air flow. They can even be mounted inside the grille or upside-down from some part of the undercarriage.  It does not matter which side of the car you mount them on as they work on either side as long as the horn-shaped opening faces forward.  The more air they get, the better they will work. Be careful, they are a deterrent and not guaranteed to stop all deer.  Be sure to remove when going through a car wash as we cannot be responsible for car wash damage.

License Plate Frames/Shields

Q. I went through the car wash and it broke my LPF, can I get a replacement?

A. Custom Accessories cannot be responsible for damage caused by car washes.

 

Q. I got a ticket for using a clear/tinted cover, is it legal?

A. Custom Accessories has warnings on the back of all LPF/covers.  Consumers should check their local & state regulations.

 

Q. Is it legal to have a clear/tinted cover on a license plate?

A. Custom Accessories has warnings on the back of all LPF/covers.  Consumer should check their local & state regulations.

Mirrors

Q. How do I remove blindspot mirrors?

A. We suggest using fishing line or dental floss to carefully remove the mirror and then clean the residue with Goo Gone or a similar safe adhesive removal product.

Quality Guarantee

Q. What is your quality guarantee?

A. Unless otherwise indicated on the product packaging or manual, we guarantee this exterior or interior car accessory to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product. If a defect in material or workmanship occurs, call Custom Accessories customer service at 800-962-6676 for instructions on how to have it replaced or repaired free of charge. This guarantee does not cover normal damage to the product that is not the result of a defect in materials or workmanship such as, for example, normal wear and tear, or damage resulting from an accident. Shipment of any product back to Custom Accessories is at the consumer’s expense. Custom Accessories, Inc. limits its liability only to replacement of its products. This guarantee gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Q. Will your phone holder fit my phone?

A. Our new packaging has phone size charts.  Please call customer service at 1-800-962-6676.

 

Q. My Phone holder clips broke, what do I do?

A. Please call customer service at 1-800-962-6676.

 

Q. The clips broke off in the vent, what do I do?

A. Gently pry open the ‘teeth’ of the vent clip with a flat surface tool and pull carefully.

 

Q. My phone holder uses a suction cup and won’t this stay put on the window/dash?

A. Make sure the surface is clean and dry.  Lightly moisten the suction cup and reapply, pressing firmly.

Q. Can you send a replacement for a defective product?

Q. Can I get a replacement part to repair a product myself?

A. Please call customer service at 1-800-962-6676.  Only a very limited number of items have replacement parts available.

 

Q. How do I get Notepad replacements for the slimline clipboard?

A. In order to get Notepad Replacements you must do the following:

– Send in $1 per pad by CHECK or MONEY ORDER ONLY. (NO CREDIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED). This amount includes postage for the item to be sent back to customer.

– Please send the check or money order to the following address:

Steering Wheel Covers

Q. Will your covers fit my steering wheel?

A. Custom Accessories Steering Wheel Covers will fit most steering wheels with sizes ranging in diameter from 14.5” – 15.5 “.   Our Neoprene covers can stretch to cover a steering wheel 16” in diameter and our Lace-On covers can stretch to 16.5” in diameter.

 

Q. Why does my Steering Wheel Cover smell?

A. The smell is from the rubber used in the inner core of some steering covers.  The smell will diminish over time.
